SuperFriendly acquired by Barrel Holdings — design systems consultancy evolves¶
Insight: SuperFriendly, the influential enterprise design systems consultancy founded by Dan Mall in 2012 and shut down in 2022, was acquired by Barrel Holdings in early 2025 with a new CEO (Jon Sukarangsan). Mall stays as board member and equity partner. The agency's focus on enterprise-level design systems continues under new operational leadership.
